WHO WE ARE
This organization is registered in United States, in the state of Florida with document number N17000004456 and it is also registered in Nigeria with the Incorporation Number CAC/IT/NO 113223 . It is an organization that wants to help the underprivileged women (widows and single mothers) become self sufficient so that they will be able to support their children and help them actualize their dreams.
What We Do
The whole reason behind the establishment of this organization is to help put a smile and if possible laughter on the faces of the struggling mothers and their children. This organization will help these women by inspiring, encouraging and equipping them. With this organization’s little support, these women will become self sufficient. Poverty and hunger will be eradicated in their lives and they will be able to support their children to reach their full potential.
Meet the Board of Trustees
Mrs Gosife Okafor
Is the President/Chairperson Board of Trustees of the organization – Show the Light International Foundation. She is a Nigerian-American who resides in the state of Florida in United States, an attorney and a mother. Having had a firsthand experience as a single mother raising her daughters, she got the inspiration to give a helping hand to women who are in similar situation, women who are struggling alone to raise their kids. She saw the need to have a legal body that will help tell the world the challenges of mothers who have to single-handedly raise their children with little or no means of accomplishing it. Together with her friends who have the same vision as her, Show the Light International Foundation originated.
Mrs Inebharapu Onyemaechi
Is the Vice-Chairman and a member, Board of Trustees of the organization – Show the Light International Foundation. She is a Nigerian who also resides in Nigeria. She is a legal practitioner and a mother. Ine is a product of what support to mothers who are left without help to raise their kids can do. She lost her dad at a very young age and her mother was left to raise her and her siblings alone. However, with the encouragement and the support of the man she now calls father, she was able to actualise her dreams.
Mrs Chinelo Olayanju
is the Legal Adviser/Secretary and a member Board of Trustees of the organization – Show the Light International Foundation. She is a Nigerian who is also based in Nigeria. She is a legal practitioner and a mother. She will help in ensuring the smooth running of the organization within legally acceptable terms and conditions that will make the organization one that is to be reckoned with not only in Nigeria but internationally.
Mrs Fadekemi Ojo
is the Treasurer and a member Board of Trustees of the organization – Show the Light International Foundation. She is a Nigerian who resides in the state of New Jersey in United States, a practicing nurse and a mother. She is the capable hand that will see to the smooth running of the financial arm of the organization. She has the duty to ensure that funds are adequately disbursed to equip women and children that will be privileged to be beneficiaries from this organization.
Kemi, being raised by a single mom and with her experience as a single mom, she understands that it is not by choice but by condition that people find themselves in situations they don’t have control over. She is grateful to God for all the people He used to help bring out the light in her and believes that the best way to appreciate them is to give back to the society.
